When You Need Your Locking Wheel Nuts Removed

Locking wheel nuts stop thieves taking your wheels — but they stop you (and any tyre fitter) taking them off too, unless you have the key. We come out for all of these:

• Lost key. It’s not in the glovebox, it didn’t come with the car you bought, or a garage never gave it back.
• Broken or damaged key. Keys crack or wear out, especially on a nut that’s been done up very tight.
• Rounded-off nuts. The pattern on the nut has been chewed up, so even the right key won’t grip.
• A puncture and no key. We remove the locking nut and repair or replace the tyre in the same visit.

We work on all makes and models, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at your home, your workplace or the roadside.

How It Works

1. Call or WhatsApp 07762 455291 with your car’s make and model, where it is, and how many locking nuts it has (usually one on each wheel).
2. We tell you the price and when we can be there.
3. Before we start, we ask to see proof that the car is yours — your V5C logbook or ID.
4. We remove the locking nuts without damaging your wheels. A typical removal takes 5 to 10 minutes.
5. If you have spare wheel nuts or a new locking set, we fit them free of charge while we’re there.

Why We Ask for Proof of Ownership

Locking nuts are there to protect your wheels, so we make sure we’re only ever removing them for the car’s owner. Have your V5C logbook or ID ready when we arrive and it only takes a moment.

Replacement Nuts

We don’t supply replacement nuts, so it’s best to have them ready: a new locking wheel nut set, or standard wheel nuts that fit your car. We fit them for free while we’re there. When you get a new locking set, keep a note of the key’s code — it’s the quickest way to order a replacement key if you ever lose this one.

What It Costs

£20 for each locking nut we remove, plus the call-out. Most cars have one locking nut on each wheel, so all four is £80 plus the call-out — for example £140 in total in Solihull, where the call-out is £60. The call-out is £60 within 5 miles of our base in Birmingham (B33), then £10 for every extra 5 miles, and it’s the same at any time of day or night.
